Opening Discussion Question:

Marriages can face many challenges, and some of those challenges may be too difficult for a relationship to survive. Around the world, many people are concerned about the rate of divorce.

However, it has also been shown that as women gain equality, divorce rates increase, because women have gained the power to leave bad relationships. In this light, we can see divorce as a positive thing for society, and a natural part of a country’s development.
